Periodontal (Gum) Disease Diagnosis?

Brush your teeth at least twice daily. Brushing removes plaque from the inside, outside and chewing surfaces of each tooth. Dental hygienists can demonstrate appropriate technology.
Depending on the wear of the indicator bristles, replace the new toothbrush every three months or replace the brush head every three months or earlier. Some electric toothbrushes have been shown to reduce the risk of periodontal disease.
Use toothpastes containing fluoride and xylitol.
Use dental floss daily. Use dental floss to remove plaque that cannot be reached by the toothbrush between toothbrushes.
Use mouthwash to kill bacteria.
Eat a balanced diet; avoid too much candy and processed carbohydrates.
