How to get more from your loupes

If the dentist hears the name "mass sucker", he or she will most likely think of a company that provides suction and vacuum dental equipment for dental clinics.

Although this is a fair assumption, there is more to this dental company from Duncanville, Texas, which has been serving the dental business for more than 40 years. At that time, they have become industry leaders in the dental surgical aspirator, fiber optic lamp, dental pulp aspirator and various other product manufacturing industries.

Another area where catapult education quality is good is the dental vision technology. They are manufacturers of Q-Optics prism magnifiers and LED lighting technology. Recently, they were 2017 winners of the Celerant "best class" technology award. With multiple participants in the dental vision market, quality aspiration seekers seek expert knowledge to understand the performance of their Q-Optics series of magnifiers compared to other industry leaders.

Brent Downs, Director of Sales, Quality Aspirators, and Catapult Education conducted a fair review. Catapult Education, formerly known as Catapult Group, was founded in 2013 by Lou Graham of DDS. The team is composed of various key opinion leaders (KOL) and teaching professionals across the United States and Canada. These professionals are proficient in many aspects of dentistry and have an extremely unique interest in their personal practices. These professionals do not have any compensation for the evaluation of this series of products.

About Products

Q-Optics offers many options for dental vision. They have two main dental magnifiers: custom-lens (TTL) magnifiers and flip magnifiers. For the purpose of this review, Catapult Education hired a review of the custom TTL prism magnifier.

The entire Custom TTL Loupes series is uniquely designed to perfectly fit the user's facial features through a proprietary measurement system. The True-FitTM digital measurement system is based on traditional measurement systems to ensure optimal placement of the magnifier to create a better ergonomic fit. Working distance can be customized between 10 and 26 inches.

Although there are several magnifications to choose from, Prism Magnifier offers 3.5x, 4.0x, and 4.5x magnification fields of view. Magnifiers are made of advanced materials that produce a light, ergonomic and comfortable design. The amplification mechanism is contained within a one-piece titanium alloy housing designed to align the lens and prism with a unique optical cage. Carbon fiber is used on the outside of the housing to reduce weight and ease the nose.

Evaluation

For this assessment, participated in 10 KOL. Each participant used magnification in his or her practice; however, only three participants had any experience with the Prism magnifier. In addition, only one of the 10 participants used the Q-Optics brand.

As all reviewers agree, the fitting process is impressive. It was pointed out that the fitting procedure was different from any reviewers used in the past. Verify before making the magnifying glass and verify it. Manufacturers also use digital cameras for verification during manufacturing. All reviewers have received magnifying magnifiers that are precisely magnified.

The initial impression of the dental supplies is very favorable. All 10 participants’ magnifiers were rated above the average, and 8 of them were rated “excellent”. They are considered "best", "best frame" and "so clear and clear".

All reviewers were rated "excellent" for their weight and comfort. It is found that its weight is very favorable compared to other brands, and most users do not need a watch band.

For a clear vision, a very positive (100%) response was again given. It has been pointed out that vision is much clearer than magnifying glasses that were enlarged in the past. Others pointed out that compared with competitors, the vision is more extensive and completely clear. It should also be noted that most reviewers have chosen higher magnification than before.

in conclusion
