The symptoms of a tooth abscess usually include
pain,
swelling,
Red mouth and face.
Usually one or more teeth are very sensitive to stress. For advanced infections, people may experience other complications such as:
nausea,
Vomiting,
fever,
Chill, and
Difficult to swallow, open your mouth or breathe.
If the treatment is not long enough, the infection may spread through the bone and damage the neighboring teeth, which will require additional treatment.
Signs often found along with tooth abscesses may include but are not limited to:
Deep cavity,
Gum inflammation,
Oral or facial swelling,
Soft touch,
Drainage of pus, and
Sometimes opening ability is limited (open mouth is wide or difficult or painful when swallowing).
If the abscess has spread to the superficial area, it usually touches the palpation (touch) of the affected area. Teeth abscesses range from mild to severe. They may be related to asymptomatic or severe symptoms. Depending on many factors, abscesses can range from chronic to acute, and stable (unchanged) to rapid spread. In some cases, the infection spreads beyond the teeth and bones, through the bloodstream to other areas of the body that may damage the organ, and may even endanger life.
