Check your mouth for signs of diabetes. If you find any problem, please go to the dentist immediately. Some of the symptoms of gum disease are gum swelling, pain or bleeding. Sometimes you don't have any signs of gum disease. You may not know that you have it until you have serious damage. Your best defense is to see your dentist clean and check twice a year.
