Some toothpastes contain abrasive ingredients that may be too harsh for people with sensitive teeth. The ingredients found in some whitening toothpastes can increase tooth sensitivity that can reduce and/or remove certain stains of enamel and sodium pyrophosphate, a key component of tartar control toothpaste.
