Root rot (also known as "root cul de sac" or "root canal") occurs on the surface of the roots of the teeth to form hollows. Unless your gums are flinching, the root surface is usually not visible, but if you have root cavities, they are visible where your teeth come into contact with the gums.
This may be due to gum disease, inappropriate brushing (for example, using a toothbrush brush that is too firm), gum degeneration, or age-related gum changes.
