Will treatment be uncomfortable?

The conventional braces' interconnecting wires are tightened at each visit and a slight pressure is applied to the brace or strap to gradually move the teeth or jaws to the desired position. After each visit, your teeth and chin may feel slight pain but discomfort is short-lived. Also keep in mind that some teeth may need to be pulled out to make room for the teeth to move with the mouthpiece and adjust the gum position appropriately. For aligner patients, there may be some soreness as your mouth adjusts to each new plastic tray.
