What is the CHF?

Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a condition in which the heart cannot pump enough blood into body organs, affecting more than 3 million people in the United States and about 400,000 new cases each year.
 
According to the lead author of a new study published in the May/June 2002 issue, it was reported that untreated or poorly treated CHFs during dental treatment for infection, cardiac arrest, stroke, and heart attack The patient may be in a high-risk state of general dentistry, general dental college (AGD) clinical, peer-reviewed publications.
 
"Bacteria released during tooth cleaning are spread through the bloodstream to areas that help pump blood into other organs," said Nelson L. Rhodus, lead author of the study, DMD, MPH. "The risk of infection in untreated patients with CHF is high because the released bacteria can cause blood clots and exacerbate the existing condition."
