What types of dental bridges are available?

There are three main types of bridges:
The traditional fixed bridge consists of two or more crowns and teeth. Fill teeth / teeth attached to one or more crown. Crown keep the bridge in place. Traditional bridges are the most common type of bridge and are made of metal or ceramic fused porcelain.
Use a cantilever bridge (edentulous / no teeth on the other side of the tooth) when there is an edentulous or tooth on one side.
The Maryland Bound Bridge (also known as a resin bonded bridge or Maryland Bridge) is made of porcelain, supported by a metal frame. The metal wings on both sides of the bridge are combined with the existing teeth. This type of bridge is usually used to replace the front teeth.
