What are dental bridges?

Dental bridges literally compensate for the gap caused by one or more missing teeth.
A typical bridge consists of two crowns (one on each side of the gap caused by missing teeth / teeth) and one denture / tooth (to fill the gap and attach to the crown). These two crowned "anchoring teeth" are called abutments. These supporting teeth can be natural teeth or dental implants. Dentures / teeth between anchors are called bridges. The bridge can be made of gold, alloy, china or a combination of these materials.
