Extra teeth have many names! They classify according to where they are and how they look.
If the extra tooth is located in the middle of two anterior teeth, it is called Chinese and Western medicine. If the extra tooth is located near the molar area, it is called Pamela. If the extra tooth is behind the wisdom tooth, it is called a twist.
If the extra tooth is shaped like another "normal" tooth, it is called a complementary tooth. If it is not shaped like a normal tooth, then it is called a basic tooth. Then classify abutments based on their appearance:
The conical basic teeth look very small or nail-shaped.
Nodular basic teeth are barrel-shaped and have more than one tip.
Molariform Rudimentary teeth are similar to premolars or molars, but not enough to be called dental fillings.
