If you neglect to wear your fixture even for several nights, especially after your fixture is detached, your teeth may shift to a position where the fixture is no longer suitable. At this point, you will need to return to the orthodontist to see if he/she can fix your mouth with another fixer or if you need extra treatment.
Your fixture should be comfortable and fit your mouth. Your orthodontist should check if it suits your new smile before you leave the office. If for any reason your holder is not suitable or feels uncomfortable, discuss it with your orthodontist.
If you have major changes in your brace after it falls off, it is not normal and it raises concerns. Your orthodontist can help you understand what is happening and correct the problem. Your teeth will naturally be resolved with the help of your fixator, but be sure to note that your fixator has an unusual shift or problem.
Following the orthodontist's instructions, it is easy to maintain the appearance and erectness of the teeth after the braces fall off. Teeth movement after tooth extraction is normal, but shifts should be small and you should still be able to wear your retainer comfortably.
