How to treat the root canal?

After anesthesia disappears after surgery, some discomfort may occur during recovery. This is especially true if swelling or inflammation initially occurs. Under normal circumstances, the discomfort is slight and will be resolved within a few days. Using non-prescription drugs such as Advil, Motrin or Tylenol can treat post-cancer discomfort. In addition, it is important to avoid chewing teeth until all tenderness has disappeared. This will promote the healing of the surrounding tissues.
Root canal treatments are more brittle and prone to chipping or cracking. For this reason, crowns are needed to properly protect these teeth that undergo heavy chewing forces. This applies particularly to the posterior teeth (bicuspids and molars) in the back of the mouth. The anterior teeth (incisors and canines) in the front of the mouth cannot bear the same amount of bite force and usually do not require reinforcement of the crown.
