Non-traditional/homeopathic remedies for thrush treatment include:
Wipe the mouth area with pure coconut oil (caprylic acid is the active ingredient);
The application of yogurt swabs and breast milk in the oral area;
Apply white distilled vinegar and/or diluted baking soda (1 teaspoon / 8 oz water) to the mother's nipple;
Lactobacillus acidophilus is applied to the infant's oral cavity and maternal nipples; and
Apply a diluted concentration of apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil or essential oil to the area involved.
These methods have not been subjected to rigorous and scientific research, and are based on the recommendations of accident reports.
