Planmeca has released a new compact autoclave smart tip for all PlanScan repair systems. PlanScan autoclavable tips are available in standard sizes, as well as two new small sizes: portraits and landscapes. All cues are ergonomically designed for comfortable grips and smooth surfaces for optimal patient and user experience. These new smart tips also have built-in diagnostics that tell the software which alert configuration is being used and measure current and all session times.
The new technique will optimize the scanning field by eliminating the capture of any foreign material including fingers and tongue. Physically, these techniques provide greater magnification, deeper focal lengths, and require less trimming. These slender tips can also be used for better intra-oral access during scanning, especially for patients with smaller mouth or limited mobility.
