How do I brush floss my teeth?

Use floss
• Interrupt about 18 inches of floss and wrap around the middle finger of each hand. Hold the floss firmly with your thumb and forefinger.
• Guide the dental floss between the teeth with a gentle rubbing motion.
• When the dental floss reaches the gum line, bend it into a C against a tooth. Gently slide into the space between the gum and the teeth.
• Return the floss to the point of contact between the teeth and move the floss up or down to conform the floss to the shape of the tooth.
• Hold dental floss against your teeth. Gently rub the side of the tooth to move the dental floss away from the gums up and down.
• Repeat this method for the remaining teeth.
