Adherence to routine oral hygiene regimens is crucial for patients who want to maintain the results of periodontal treatment. Patients should see the dentist for spot cure and root plaque every 3 to 4 months (or more, depending on the patient) as well as overall examination. During the visit, they should brush their teeth at least twice a day, using floss and brushing tongues every day. Handmade soft nylon brush is the most reliable and the cheapest. Brush is also a good choice, but do not go deeper than the manual brush pocket. Agent brushes (small, narrow brushes) and other interdental cleaners are the best way to clean the tooth gap and should be used once daily. Wood toothpicks and rubber stoppers should only be used where dentists recommend.
