How will my dentist handle my child's anxiety?

Some children feel anxious for the first time visiting the dentist's office. This unknown experience is a common cause of stress. The dentist or his staff will talk directly with the child to make him or her more comfortable. Ask your dentist to visit your office with your child to explain the various equipment along the way. For young children, especially children under 3, parents or relatives can accompany their children throughout the process. Older children are encouraged to show independence.
