Severe Pain

Any gum or tooth damage is very painful. However, in some cases, the cause of severe toothache is not obvious. For example, sudden pain may be caused by food particles staying in the cavity and starting to stimulate nerves inside the teeth. If you lose a filler or crown, nerves inside the tooth may be exposed and you may feel severe pain when air or warm or cold matter touches the bare parts of the tooth.

Pain that becomes more severe over time is usually caused by residual debris under the gums. Popcorn is an ordinary criminal. Since the hardcore cellulose fiber in the popcorn kernel does not break down, it can remain between the gums and the teeth. The longer a food pellet resides between the gums and the teeth, the more chances of the gums to be irritated and infected and the pain worsened. Infections, called abscesses, can be a serious health problem if left dental equipment untreated.

Pain during bite or chewing, especially with bad odors and bad taste, may be signs of an abscess requiring immediate treatment.

what can you do
First, call your dentist and make an appointment.

In the meantime, here are a few steps you can try to alleviate some of the pain at home:

Take over-the-counter painkillers such as Advil (Motrin) or Tylenol. However, please note that you need to see a dentist. If you cover the pain with painkillers, neglecting it can spread the infection and can be life-threatening.
Flush mouth with warm water every hour, or relieve pain if needed.
If the pain is caused by trash remaining in the cavity, washing the area can solve the problem.
Floss the floss with a floss and then use a toothpick on the gum line. This may remove debris remaining in the gum.
If you lose a filler or crown, immerse the cotton swab in clove oil and apply it to the exposed part of the tooth. Clove oil, pharmacies and supermarkets, can be very good to relieve toothache. You can also use local anesthetics, such as amphetamines, as well as pharmacies and supermarkets.
Put a piece of ice on the wound can also reduce pain. Apply ice cubes every hour for 10 to 20 minutes as needed.
If you travel by air, changes in the pressure on the plane taking off or landing may make you feel more uncomfortable. You should receive dental treatment before traveling by plane.
What your dentist will do
Even if dental problems cause a lot of pain, problems and therapies are usually relatively straightforward if you seek immediate help.

If you have a cavity, the dentist will remove any debris, remove the decayed parts of the tooth, and place a filler. Once the inner teeth are protected, the pain usually disappears immediately.

If your problem is related to scrapings under your gums, your dentist will use special dental supplies to remove debris. If you have an infection, you may get a prescription for antibiotics and painkillers. If antibiotics are prescribed, it is important to take the antibiotics as directed until all the medication has been completed.

Abscesses in the teeth or gums may require a wider range of treatments such as drainage abscesses, root canal treatments or tooth extraction.
