Pediatric dentists have been specially trained to solve child-specific problems such as tooth development and adult tooth root canal that are not yet fully formed. However, most children are treated by a general dentist. An ordinary dentist is often associated with the entire family and therefore has a great history of family history which may apply to your child. If you are unable to determine the type of dentist your child is using, consult your family dentist or your child's pediatrician for advice.
