Complete oral reconstruction is an extensive process to restore the patient's oral health. Treatment can be done in a variety of ways. Here are some treatments:
Dental implants - replacing teeth - can be used for dental implants. This involves inserting a titanium column to hold a custom crown.
Bridges - in some cases, when a bridge has a small gap due to missing teeth, it may be used. The bridge is worn on the crown of the surrounding teeth.
Bone grafts - sometimes, due to reduced bone density, the teeth fall out. This makes it difficult to transplant dental implants. Bone grafting may be necessary prior to other dental procedures.
Dentures - if all teeth need to be replaced, dentures are cheaper to choose than implants (and more likely to be covered by insurance).
Crown - crown is placed on damaged teeth to prevent further deterioration of the teeth. This allows the patient to retain the original tooth. However, the color and shape of the hat can not only protect the teeth, but also match the teeth to other parts of the mouth.
Fillers - fillers prevent tooth decay causing more problems. Cavities can often be filled with compounds that match the color of the teeth.
