Does My Child Need a Mouthguard to Play Sports?

Any child with contact sports should consider wearing a mouthguard. Many league and schools need to provide those boy playing ice hockey, or football mouthguard, but as a Harrisburg, a dentist, I saw in the various contact the injured people were injured and wounded.
Girls playing sports also need to protect their teeth! Sports guards are not just boys!
Of the 3 million female high school athletes in the United States, only 3% are cheerleaders, but nearly 65% of serious injuries (including teeth and mouth) are the result of cheerleading.
So no matter what sport your kids play, if their teeth are damaged, they should wear a mouthguard!
