Acidic foods can make your enamel -- the coating that protects your teeth -- under attack.
The enamel loss is irreversible and greatly increases the sensitivity of the teeth. To prevent this loss, limit your contact:
Red wine
soda
Oranges, grapes, tomatoes.
At the very least, you can't brush your teeth after eating acidic food for at least 20 minutes. This will damage your enamel more quickly.
