ALWAYS push the button on the back of the handpiece in all the way ( till you feel a click ). This is the same when taking the bur out and when inserting the bur. If you do not do this it will get stuck. ALWAYS put the bur in all the way. NEVER half way.
ALWAYS lubricate the handpiece before use, step on the foot pedal for 8 – 10 seconds to make sure the lubricant goes all through the handpiece.
ALWAYS use alcohol to clean the handpiece. NEVER use any chemicals or chlorine. NEVER put it in a ultrasonic cleaner.
Make sure you lubricate the handpiece BEFORE you autoclave it at 275 degrees for 15 min. NEVER autoclave the high speed handpiece with the bur inserted.
The high speed handpiece operates at 38 – 40 PSI running at 350,000 to 400,000 RPM.
When you screw the high speed onto the tubing from the dental station there is a small gap even after you have gotten it on securely. This is normal. Nothing is wrong with this.
NEVER run the high speed without a bur in it . You will damage the chuck.
