Planmeca selected for digital clinical environment

Planmeca Oy, a Finnish dental equipment maker, signed a major equipment delivery agreement with the university of Maryland.
Planmeca will provide 324 dental units, including integrated software and digital imaging equipment, for the university of Baltimore dental surgery (BCD) for education and clinical use.
The agreement is the largest delivery agreement in the history of Planmeca, worth nearly $10 million.
In partnership with Planmeca USA, Planmeca Oy will provide 324 digital dental equipment and patient seats, 79 digital oral x-rays, and digital panoramic x-rays for the Baltimore dental college.
In addition, Planmeca's Canadian subsidiary triangle furniture systems will provide the university with all the operating dental cabinets. The equipment will be delivered and installed before July 1, 2006.
The project is Planmeca's second university in North America this year. Earlier this year, Planmeca provided the university of British Columbia dental school in vancouver with 144 dental units, including integrated software and digital imaging equipment.
