The sterile pouches that we use where I work are self sealing and seal in the autoclave. An autoclave is, in essence, a big pressure autoclave. Your pouches should self seal in the pressure autoclave. Until you do get your pressure autoclave, there is no reason not to use the pouches to keep your needles sterile. Just be sure to resterilize in your solution before use, with ample time to dry, of course.
